The comprehensive information system consists of:
- business software
- hardware
- network
All elements are interconnected. Business software is made up of certain software platforms. For example, Construction Contractor. Financial Management works on the platform BAF. You can only guarantee the quality of your applications if you use the licensed software.
Under a certain operating system, you get a computer with precisely verified features: the frequency of the processor, the amount of RAM, capacity and speed of the hard drive. You can design a structured cabling system that will connect all computers to the local network by knowing the number of users, the characteristics of their workstations, evaluating the transmitted and received information.
Thus, work on the project of creating an information system is conducted in a scheme that resembles a pyramid (see figure). Initially, the design is carried out, followed by the installation of network, next one is the hardware installation, the implementation of business software, and, in the last place, the contract support of the created system is carried out.
Each preceding item is the basis for the next. But work in separate stages can be carried out separately, not within the framework of the complex project.
The created automated system needs guarantee support (circles in the diagram). In this case, warranty coverage applies only to a part of the system elements. Maximum coverage of an automated system is possible only through contract maintenance.
